TRAVEL SOFTBALL

In 2026, a group of parents and coaches banded together with one simple premise in mind. 

They wanted more for their kids.  They were fed up with Little League drama.  They were tired of the lack of competition.  They were frustrated that the adults seemed to care more about other adults than they did the development, success and joy of the kids.   

That’s how Gators Elite was formed. 

The Parents and Coaches worked diligently to learn from and instill the  best practices from all of the other travel teams in the area with a few very simple questions. 

HOW CAN WE FIELD A TEAM THAT DEVELOPS THE SKILLSET OF OUR DAUGHTERS? 

HOW DO WE FIELD A TEAM THAT IS NOT ONLY COMPETITIVE BUT SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT BEING GONE EVERY WEEKEND?

  HOW DO WE DO THIS AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE COST TO STRUGGLING FAMILIES?

CHRIS SHAFFER
CHRIS SHAFFER
Chris Shaffer is in his third year of coaching for the Gators Elite. Shaffer took over a winless team and within two years had them securing a League and District Championship. Additionally, he was chosen to Coach Inverness All-Star Team and competed against some of the best Little League Teams in Central Florida.

CRAIG CLARK
Craig Clark is in his third year of coaching for the Gators Elite. Clark teamed up with Shaffer and took over a winless team and within two years had them securing a League and District Championship. Additionally, he was chosen to Coach Inverness All-Star Team and competed against some of the best Little League Teams in Central Florida.
